Embossed Texture Paste Technique

Hello My Scrappy Friends!!

The challenge this week over at Use Your Stuff Challenge Blog is to use texture paste on your project.  I hope you will lay along with us this week!

Here is my card:

I used a stencil from MFT, Ranger Texture Paste, CTMH gold embossing powder.  I added the gold  Dew Drops and finished it with a few droplets of Heidi Swapp Shimmer Spray.  I had the bird die-cut left over from another project.  He makes the perfect addition, don't ya think?

I applied the texture paste through the stencil.  After I removed the stencil, I added the gold embossing powder.  I heat-set the embossing powder with my heat tool while the texture paste was still wet.  I love how it bubbled up a little bit as it dried.

A closeup of the texture...

... you can see where it bubbled up better in this pic.  It is always a challenge to photograph a metallic finish.

Stop by the UYS blog and see all of the DT inspiration.  I just love what everyone came up with.  I hope you will play along.  I would love to see your creations!

Until next time...
Happy Scrappin'!!

Thank you for taking the time to leave your thoughts!
