Vintage Ladies

Hello Friends!
Just a quick share of a fun card.

I received this images and papers in a fabulous card kit swap.  I love the colours, but have to admit I was a bit challenged with the images.  Vintage is usually not my style and I had to think a bit to come up with something I was happy with.

I settled on a few fun techniques.  Distress with Distress Markers and with Ranger Crackle Accents.

I used Distress Markers and a water-brush to colour the images.  After they were dried, I added Ranger Crackle Accents.  After this step dried I mounted on the shimmer cardstock  and popped them up with foam tape.

There was some pretty pleated ribbon with the kit as well as some fun bling.  I used the ribbon to make a fun bow with the bling in the center.

It's always a bit uncomfortable to try something new, but I love how it came out!  What do you think?  I would love to hear from you :)  Thanks in advance for your feedback!

  1. The crackle accents give a neat effect.

    1. Thank you Trina! I think next time, I will do the crackle before I cut out the images. I think it did add to the vintage feel though with it curling up on the edges like that when each piece dried and cracked though. :)

Thank you for taking the time to leave your thoughts!
