Fun with Dew Drops!

12:34:00

Dew Drops are so pretty!  When they first came out, I had to have them!  I purchased them in lots of colours.  One of the great things about them, is that a little goes a long way... so they last FOREVER!!  I wanted to share a little inspiration to get those Dew Drops back in your creative thinking.  It is always fun to have the latest bling or embellishment, but it is even better to use what we have in our stash, eh?

These layouts are from our second cruise.  The first night aboard, they had a fun parade.  They called it Island A Go-Go.  With all the Dancers and costumes, streamers and fun music, it was a super fun evening!

I cut a large circle with a template, and glued Dew Drops all around the edge with Liquid Glass.  It was a tedious task, but I just LOVE the effect!  The title was cut out on my Cricut Machine;.

I added some glitter to the tips of a few extra large bright green blooms and layered a few together.... added a punched out circle and a brad in the center.

To continue the Dew Drop them, I glued some more accenting the stripes of this page.  Oh, so FUN!!  I wanted to do something a bit different for the journaling part.  I normally don't like my own hand-writing.  (that's normal, right?)  I decided to add that personal touch and write the journaling around the circle, with a photo in the middle.

A few other ways to use them:

Use them in the center of your handmade flowers.  This particular flower is from Heartfelt Creations - Arianna Blooms .  It is stamped on vellum in Ranger Archival black ink and sponged with Distress ink.

Use them as accents on your pages.  They come in many shapes, sizes and colours.  Group them together as an eye-catcher on your page.  This page is one from my Lighthouse Folio album.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to leave a comment below with a link to your blog or project photo.  I would love to see your Dew Drop creations!

Until next time... Happy Scrappin'!
