Aweso(Me) Matchbook Mini Album

I am so excited that Heartfelt Creations has a new Design Team Call!  I have been waiting for this for nearly a year now.  I am totally addicted to their stamps and dies... ESPECIALLY their flower dies!

To apply, you need to submit three (3) projects that represent your style.  I am proud to submit this album as my first of three projects!  ~~~Wish me luck~~~

Although this book does not use any Heartfelt  products, but is representative of my style.  Making mini albums is one of my most favorite things. I love creating them and coming up with all the little details inside to help preserve precious memories.

Without further rambling...

The style is inspired by Laura Denison - Following the Paper Trail.  You can find her blog HERE.

This is a Matchbook style binding.  It is held together with ribbon and the pages are divided by beads.
The chipboard cover is embellished with paper cut out from the paper stack.  The closure is a "hair tie" closure.  I used a knob from Tim Holtz to wrap it around on the front cover.  The ribbon was from my stash.

The Stars  were stamped in chalk ink with a  CTMH set: Star Struck.  The gears in the center of the stars are from Tim Holtz.

I used StampinUp! cardstock and a 6x6 paper Awesome by Simple Stories.  I used Tim Holtz Tiny Tags die to make some of the tags for each page.  The stamps used were mostly CTMH.

I made extra pockets on each page to hold extra photos and tags.  The tags and pocket embellishments were made using the cutouts in the paper stack.  All of the pieces were distressed with Tim Holtz Distress ink: Stormy Sky.

The album will hold 18 3" x 3" photos and has lots of additional tags for smaller photos or notes.

The border punch I used in this book is by Martha Stewart.  It is called Framed Dots.  It comes with a matching corner punch that I used on the large tags.

Lots of misc embellishments were added from my stash... puppy paw brads, dog bone brads and clips, buttons and ribbon.

You can see all of the tags and closeups of all the details on my YouTube video HERE:

Happy Scrapping!   Until next time...
