Hello Everybody! Thanks for checking in :) I have been working on mini albums lately. Oh how much fun it is!! I had done my first one for Christmas as a gift. I got such great response, that I decided to do another one.
Here are a few of the still shots. I have also made a video for Youtube that will show the full album with all of the flips, flaps and pockets. You can view the video here. Be sure to leave any questions or comments below the video... and please subscribe to my new channel if you like what you see! With the next video, I will be sure to use a tripod!
The cover is decorated with flowers made from the Arianna Blooms set from Heartelt Creations. I gesso'd a frame from Michael's and distressed it with Ranger Alcohol Ink Adatives in gold. The seam is made with black ductape. I stuck it to some cardstock and embossed it with my Bigshot. Then I distressed it with the same alcohol ink adatives as the frame. The binding is adapted from Laura Denison's Stack the Deck binding. I actually used a double stacked deck with tyvek between the layers for extra support. I will try to do a video later to show how I did that.
I use paper from DCWV Old World stack and the tags from Primrose (also DCWV). I love how the colors seemed to coordinate perfectly!
I have recently been introduced to Heartfelt Creations dies and stamps. I have to say that they are one of my MOST FAVORITE die and stamp companies at this moment! I love the detail of their dies and Emma -Lou is so helpful with the video tutorials for making flowers.
Heartfelt Creations Birds n Blooms stamp and die set were used to make the embellishments for this page. I used microbeads for the flower centers. I love the added bling and excitement that they add to the flower blooms!
Many of the pages are magnetized. I used the neodymium magnets as they are super thin and strong.
Another page with the Birds n Blooms embellishments. For this one, I made the birds as well from the stamp and die set. I shaped the blooms and birds with McGill shaping tools and added color with Distress Inks. I had a little bird nest charm in my stash that worked perfectly with this page. The tag at the top was cut out on my Cricut, and stenciled using Distress Inks and the negative from the diecut. ... I love how that tied it all together.
The tag embellishments were taken from the Primrose paperpad from DCWV. I also used a few paperclips throughout from Michael's Recollection line.
I used a few different punches in my pages from Martha Stewart's line: Floral Crochet, Floral Vine deep edge punch and Floral Lace edge punch. I love the lacey effect the give.
The die on this page is from Marianne Designs: Leafy Flourish.
I will be adding a tutorial in the near future, so be sure to stop back!
I will add a few pics later of the first album I made. Special thanks to Kerri Jo Sharp for the inspiration from your Graphics 45 album.
