Valentine's Day Card Class

Here are some fun cards folds to try for Valentines Day: Center-Step Card, Z-Fold Card, Lattice Edge Card and a Swing card.

Flip cards are lots of fun.  There are lots of dies out there now with fancy shapes.  With three cuts on your paper trimmer, and two score lines on your Scor Pal, you can have this cute fold without a fancy die.
Flip Card, Hero Arts, ValentineThis one is made using background stamping.  First I stamped with Versamark ink.  I used Judikins Sticky Stuff embossing powder to stick the glitter. The letters were cut with my Silhouette Cameo machine (boy, do I love that machine!).  The heart die is from Hero Arts.  It was die-cut with the new Stick It adhesive.  Stick It definatly made it easier to stick than liquid glue.

Lattice Fold, Mini Envelope, This card may look complicated, but it is actually not as difficult as it looks.  I created a template for the cuts with my grid craft mat and a ruler.  I will include the template with the tutorial on my Tutorials page.  The envelope is made on the Scor Pal and wrapped with thin ribbon.  The hearts were punched with EK Success triple heart punch and a mini heart punch (sponged in Distress Ink Worn Lipstick).  I just love the effect of velum over patterned paper!

Bo Bunny ShuffleI just Love this new Bo Bunny "Shuffle" paper! I was trying to think outside the box with this one for a non-foofy valentine card for "him".  The sentiment ties it all together.
This Angled Z-Fold card was pretty easy to put together.  The most challenging part was the cut on the card base, as I used a 12" wide paper and my ruler is only 12".  When you cut at an angle, it is definatly easer to have a longer straight edge to cut with. :)
Other things I used: The scalloped heart is from Nellie's Multiframe Dies.  The straight edged heart is from Memory Box.  Valentine is stamped using black Zing embossing powder with a stamp from Impression Obsession.  The letters were welded and cut on my Cameo.

Another  card that looks more challenging than it actually is.... Center-Step Card.  All it takes is two cuts and 4 score lines... All on your paper trimmer - no fancy die necessary.  The Tutorial is on my Tutorials page.
I just LOVE  monkeys!  I found this super cute cut file at the Silhouette Studio store.   Techniques for this card: paper piecing, sponging the edges and of course: fancy folded card.

Thanks so much for stopping by for a peak!

Thank you for taking the time to leave your thoughts!
