Getting Inky with InkaGold

18:37:00

Have you had a chance to play with InkaGold?  I recently had the opportunity to try it out.  I have to say that I LOVE IT!!Inkagold, Tim Holtz tattered poinsettia, PaperMania first Noel  Here are a few Christmas cards I designed.
The cards are all focused on Docraft PaperMania's  First Noel Paperpack and InkaGold. This was created by stamping with InkaGold.  The cross charm was rubbed with Inkagold as well to get the antique gold look. The poinsettia was diecutting with Tim Holtz Tattered Poinsettia die background stamped with Inkagold and  a CTMH Christmas sentiment stamp.  The tag was punched out and stamped with CTMH Heritage Alphabet stamp using the Gluepad and sprinkled with gold glitter.

Stupendous Sparkler dots, PaperMania First Noel, Spellbinders Heirloom Ornaments die, Inkagold Clean and simple cards are a challenge for me.  The technique here is one I've wanted to try. Peek-a-boo cards are so fun :)Tools: Spellbinders Heirloom Ornaments die set is used here.  Supplies: PaperMania First Noel paper, Stampendous sparkler dot stickers, star form gold Christmas Words peel-offs and Inkagold for highlights on the edges.

A fun card with a 3D ornament.  Tools: Darice stripes embossing folder, Spellbinders Heirloom Ornaments dies, IMPression Obsession Christmas Tree stamp set.
Split embossing technique, Inkagold sponging, PaperMania First Noel
Inkagold was used with a sponge applicator on top of the embossed snowflake and swirls image.  After it was sponged, it was cut into even strips and mounted atop Bazzille Pomegranate cardstock.  Inkagold was used to put a gold edge on the DSP.  It was applied using a ruler as a mask to get a crisp border.  The gold cord I had on hand was not the right shade of gold, so I applied Inkagold to that as well.  Tools: Darice snowflake Swirls embossing folder, Bow Easy - to make the bow.

masking, ornament card, inkagold PaperMania First Noel, Spellbinders heirloom ornaments die, Spellbinders poinsettia dieThe technique used here is masking with Inkagold.  First, the card base is cut 5 1/2 x 8", then scored at 4 1/4".  This leaves the inside edge exposed to the front.  I used a scratch paper to mask off 1/2", then sponged the Inkagold to the edge.  The ornaments were die cut from the same Spellbinders set.  They were run through my big Kick machine two times... Once to cut, and a second time with the rubber mat to emboss as well.  I cut an extra ornament in white cardstock to make the mask.  I cut around the embossed line, centered this on top of the DSP a ornaments and applied the Inkagold to get a crisp border on each ornament. The poinsettia here is die cut from the Spellbinders Poinsettia, then the edges are distressed with Tim Holtz distress ink: Festive Berries... Stickles in the center.

PaperMania First Noel, candle card, acryllic packaging uses, memory box mini poinsettia The technique here was in the candles.  Have you wondered what to do with all that plastic packaging your supplies come in?  Well, here I used little strips of plastic packaging to creat a floating flame on the candles.  The stars are brads.  I cut the back off and used a foam dot to adhere it to the plastic strip.  I attached the strips to the "candles" with a micro gluedot. Inkagold was used to color the candles.
The poinsettia was cut and embossed using the Memory Box Mini Poinsettia die set.  I used a sponge applicator with Inkagold for the edges and embossed detail on the petals. The greenery is from Dee's Distinctive dies: wreath builder.
