September Snowman Tag

23:35:00

The September tag is my "inky mixed media" tag. This was my first time making a multi-layered background with different types of inks and stamping

September Snowman tag, gelatos, dylussions sprayThe tag started white. I started by coloring with Gelatos.  I rubbed two shades of green and two shades of blue Gelatos on my craftmat.  I sprayed it with water, and swirled my tag around in it. I did this a couple of times drying in between to get the right effect. I added some writing with a Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous stamp.  I colored the stamp with my Blueberry Gelato.  I sprayed the inked stamp with my Mini Mister, then stamped several times without reinking the stamp.  Next I stamped in archival black ink the birds, branches (from the same the Tim Holtz set and Inkadinkado Birds). CTMH Intrinsic Backgrounds was stamped on the bottom corner with Archival ink as well.  Lastly, I used a stencil and sprayed with a peach coloured glimmer spray for a litte highlight. I sponged on a bit of yellow distress ink in the end to add a little extra depth.

The snowman (Tim Holtz) was stamped with Versamark and black detail embossing powder, then heat embossed and fussy-cut. I colored it with copics for a bit of shading.  For the hat and scarf, I colored with distress inks and my water brush.  After they dried, I added some blue Distress glitter.  I finished the snowman off by adding a bit of irridescent glitter on the shadow marks.

For finishing touches, I stapled green ribbon and an orange bow on the top.  The month tag was punched and sponged... Attached with a green spiral clip.
