March Tag: Lucky Snowman

Inspiration for this tag is St Patty's day.

For this tag, I searched for quite some time for the perfect technique to highlight.  I had seen lots of chalk on black and I really liked that look.  I played around with that, but wasn't getting the effect that I had in mind.  I finally ended up with this:

March Snowman, spring snowman
I created a stencil on my Cricut Craftroom, and used that to create the background on black CS. I used a Ranger embossing dauber to ink up the cardstock with the stencil in place and painted on grean pearlex powder.  This ended up nice and pearly and a bit distressed using the dauber to apply the embossing fluid.

The snowman was created with a CTMH stamp set and masking, then fussycut. Sequins were applied for the buttons and on the hat. Prismacolored pencil for the nose.

The flowers were created by hearts cut out in 3 sizes on my cricut. Each flower consists of eight hearts layerd, glued together, then shaped and assembled. Rhinestones added to the middle of each flower.

The vine is cut from green shimmer sheetz with the Maryanne Swirl leaf die.

I created the "ribbon" from strips of coffee filters that I had used for cleanup when I had done misting and inking on my craft mat for another project.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your thoughts!
