June Snowman Tag

I thought butterflies would be great for June, but I had no clue how I was going to pull it together with the snowman focal point.  After searching and searching for inspiration online, I got it from my dear friend Dea.  Make the Snowman a Butterfly!  Woo hoo!!!  How fun is that??
butterfly snowman, sumer snowmanThere are two techniques for the background: Emboss Resist and Sponging on Glossy paper.  First, I  stamped on Ranger glossy cardstock with CTMH Playful Flourishes stamp set in Versamark  Ink.  I applied clear Embossing powder and heat set it. Next I fussy cut around the flourishes and sponged with Distress inks: Dusty Concord, Seedless Preserves and Milled Lavender.  The white color of the cardstock showed through the clear embossing powder.  I love this effect!  Silver rhinestones were used to accent the scrolls against the deep purple base.

For the snowman:
The snowman wings were digital stamped and colored with distress markers and glitter pens. The snowman shape was made in cricut craftroom by welding a cirlcle and stretched oval together, then cut on the cricut. The earmuffs are from CTMH All Decked Out set: fussy cut and fun flock added. purple rhinestones added for the buttons. (I love bling and sparkle) Ribbon from my stash. The month was attached with a purple bling from Recollections. The ribbon is crinkled paper ribbon.
The top butterfly is laser cut wood with added black rhinestones. The bottom border was cut with a Martha Stewart punch. I applied with tombo glue and sprinkled MS glitter on top.It is so hard to decide which tag is my favorite, but this is one of the top-runners for sure.  Butterflies, purple, lots of bling!
